The Origin
How It All Started
ParadeWorks grew out of a simple realization: parade organizers deserve better tools. While organizing community and university parades, Scott saw how much time and energy went into managing lineups, coordinating volunteers, and keeping everything on track, all with spreadsheets and group texts.
Existing event software handles conferences and festivals well, but parades are a different animal. Routes, staging areas, lineup sequencing, and volunteer coordination all have to work together. So he combined a data science background with years of hands-on parade experience and started building something purpose-built.
